ok give me a second to pull some info up
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 6 months ago.
can you scan it for codes?
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
No i can't. Is there any way i can reset the computer
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 6 months ago.
no that will not do it. If you were able to reset it you would have to relearn the key. If you figured on pulling the fuse you might as well pull the battery same thing. there is one thing we can try.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Can you please tell me whats the security module?
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 6 months ago.
its the module that recognizes the key and lets the car start. Its so you cant just hotwire the car and take off.
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 6 months ago.
it could also be the ignition cylinder but on an avalanche its rare.
Expert:  CHRIS ZAPANTIS replied 6 months ago.
did it work?
