My 2004 Silverado with 4l60 comes out of gear after about 30 seconds. Turn motor off and turn it back on it works for another 30 seconds or so?

This is a common problem and is typically due to a failing pressure control solenoid. This is located inside the pan on the valve body and is easy to replace. To have enough room to remove the solenoid, the shift accumulator must be removed (small housing with 3 bolts).
