I have a 1998 Chevrolet 4wd Pickup. I am experiencing a vibration

Customer Question

I have a 1998 Chevrolet 4wd Pickup. I am experiencing a vibration around 1600 rpm or
at about 55 mph under torque. As I increase speed the vibration disappears. Is this a
universal or carrier bearing?

Have you ruled out a wheel imbalance first cause 55 mph is just the right speed when a tire/wheel out of balance occurs.
