Pressure get so low it stops the engine when I slow down or stop temp just started elevating tonight
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: If possible

JA: I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Chevy Mechanic about your situation and connect you two.

Hello Vicki,

You need to have this diagnosed quickly before irreparable engine damage occurs.

The LS V8 engines are known for oil pump pressure regulator valves sticking (generally partially open, and hence low or no oil pressure at low rpm/idling).

This won't be an easy fix, so you need to act before you need a new engine.

Sorry for disheartening news.

Hi Vickie,

Have you had your car inspected as yet?

I would not drive the car in the condition as you have described.

Kind regards

Gary
