2001 camero 3.8 v6 oil pressure drops gets lower as coolant temperature rises

What is the oil pressure cold and warm? Are you checking at idle?

Expert:  Mike S. replied 8 months ago.

This is the spec, engine warm 60psi @ 1850rpm.

5w30 or 10w30 oil.

If you have done an oil/filter change, then I would start to suspect a worn oil pump.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 8 months ago.

In order to replace the oil pump, the front cover must come off. Here are the instructions for both.
