I Have a 2006 Chev Uplander 3.4L When I first start my car

Customer Question

I Have a 2006 Chev Uplander 3.4L When I first start my car and turn on the AC. it's cold for approximately 30 min, then it gets warm. After that all I have is warm air. What is causing this? It's getting expensive for me to have mechanics flush the system and replace the coolant.

  1. When this occurs if you leave the engine running with the AC on.
  2. Are the AC lines going into the firewall no longer cold?
  3. Is the compressor clutch no longer engaged and spinning?
