my 2010 chev aveo hesitates sometimes when accelerating and stalls sometimes while ideling. local garage said engine code p0506 was stored as well as p0137. I replaced downstream oxygen sensor and put on a brand new throttle body and am still experiencing the same symptoms. It happens at random times usually shut the car off and away it goes again. I have never seen a check engine light come on when its done acted like this.

I would recommend you try this procedure next

1. Perform Idle Learn procedure listed below:
2. Turn the ignition ON.
3. Turn the ignition OFF for 15?seconds.
4. Turn the ignition ON for 5?seconds.
5. Turn the ignition OFF for 15?seconds.
6. Start the engine in park/neutral.
7. Allow the engine to run until the engine coolant temperature is greater than 85°C (185°F).
8. Turn the A/C ON for 10?seconds, if equipped.
8. If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transaxle, apply the parking brake. While pressing the brake pedal, place the transaxle in drive?(D) for 10?seconds.
9. Turn the A/C OFF for 10?seconds, if equipped.
10. If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transaxle, while pressing the brake pedal, place the transaxle in park/neutral.
11. Turn the ignition OFF. The idle learn procedure is complete.
12. Clear codes, check for code during a road test.
13. Verify that the throttle plate has spring tension both open and closed.
