Having problems with my 95 Chevy 5.7. Doesn't start

Customer Question

Having problems with my 95 Chevy 5.7. Doesn't start sometimes. First time, replaced ignition coil and it ran great for a week. Then it wouldn't start about once a week. Changed fuel pump and started. But won't start today after I drove it to work.

Remove coil wire at coil and crank the engine. Do you get spark from the coil? If you do, try spraying starting fluid into the throttle body and cranking the engine. Does the engine start with starting fluid?

Engine doesn't start with starting fluid and there is spark from coil wire

Try checking for spark at a couple of the plug wires, remove plug wire from plug and place end close to ground and crank the engine. Do you get strong regular spark from the pug wires?
