Hi there. Welcome to our site!

Your Venture came equipped from the factory with a vehicle theft deterrent system. The ignition will not start if the system is unable to identify the ignition key (bad key or ignition switch). This system can be diagnosed and repaired by either a GM dealer or a licensed locksmith.

Best Regards.
