Chevrolet Repair Questions? Ask a Chevy Mechanic for Answers ASAP
This is fairly common on this car. There are a couple TSBs for this. You likely have a bad wheel speed sensor but you would have to get the car scanned for codes to know exactly what is the problem and with which wheel. As of this moment, your ABS is disabled and will remain so until the problem is resolved. If it's an abs sensor, it's not typically a very expensive job. It's about a half hour job plus what ever they charge you for the sensor.
I can't say that it's safe to drive your car with any problems relating to the braking system.
Hopefully that answers your question?
