injector pulse? any codes? theft light on?
no theft light , its a work van
no codes present , history had p0172, p0300, p0420, p0430
also replaced the distributor had a play on it, no improvement
smell gas after you trying to start and slightly trying to back fire after turning the engine after 10 seconds ,but not a normal back fire.
As far as history goes was having hard time starting on the mornings, but after that ok during the day
this van has the spider injector , I have a lamps to test pulse on the injectors but how can you test the pulse on this one particular?
I order the spider injector but is expensive over $300 I was ready to replace , but I'm not sure will fix the problem?
I also spray starter fluid direct on the throttle , but no start either.
can you watch cam and crank signal?

in engine data reads Camshaft hi to low 1-19 i guess as long as i keep the engine turning is counting seconds that is the reading
on the crankshaft only option I have on my scanner is Crankshaft request and says NO
notice misfires on all cly with the scanner on connected and trying to start
OK, with the smell of gas it suggests its leaking internally. IF you remove a couple plugs, are they wet with gas?
I would honestly be thinking injectors based on that. It sounds like its flooding out due to the leaks.
And if there is, reply anyway and we can continue.
Ok, back to the fuel down the throttle body, does it fire with that?
Whats the condition of the coil assembly?
Whats the CMP retard value?

What is the coolant temp reading on your scan tool?
After reading all kine of posts about similar issues yesterday and spending so much in parts and time I even put a new rotor cap and button even one was there was not bad, nothing happen. Then I pull the ignition out (Cly key) clean up put it back I'm not sure if that was the problem and also I decided to install a new maf sensor. It did not had codes for the maf , it had reading on it with my scanner. After turning the key yesterday for 4,5 seconds started right up; ok that was not a supersize because I had it started before yesterday.
In the morning was the problem , car will not start. This morning by 8 am I tried and stared right up on the first try. It looks like is solved?
I will confirmed tomorrow because once it starts , runs like a champ
OK, I have seen MAF failures of this nature, you might have stumbled upon the fix. Feel free to give me an update tomorrow to see if this is solved or not.
Van is still running strong with no issues, after changing the maf sensor , however my Credit card was charged , but it did not accept the answer.
I just need to get credit for a next problem or get a refund.

will it fire with a prime[starting fluid or a little fuel in the throttle body?
when you replaced the distributer,are you sure it is in time?
did you also install a new cap and rotor?
