If you start refueling again, can you eventually fill the tank?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I can not fill the tank. It shuts off after just a few pints of fuel.

Is there a vent hose that could be blocked?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No the pump shuts off almost immediately.

The tank vents to a canister, the canister then vents through a vent solenoid. The vent solenoid may be stuck closed, this is the most common cause. The vent solenoid is located over the right side muffler. Try disconnecting the vent hose from the solenoid to see if this eliminates the problem. If it does, replace the solenoid.
