I changed out the throtle position sensor and now it will

Customer Question

I changed out the throtle position sensor and now it will only idle at 2500 rpm. Is it safe to go from park to drive to get it to a shop?

I am sorry your having this problem

it is a tough call if it is safe to drive to the shop if you can not be around other vehicles and have room to move incase it lurches forward they try it

if not please tow it to be 100 % safe

What needs to be done to fix the problem ?
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.

either the idle needs to be relearned with a scan tool of the tps sensor is defective or in wrong or the throttle body itself is bad or damaged where the butter fly motor which the best bet is to replace the throttle body with a new or used one from a salvage yard

Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.

are you able to get the truck to a shop safely to have the idle relearned and if that does not help the codes pulled form the computer ?
