sorry Tim this didnt work, I disconected the cable and shifter works fine but i cant manuly change gears on the transmission .also having trouble getting ur answers. when i click get answer, page come up as not available.
Expert:  Tim's Auto Repair replied 1 year ago.

if you disconnected at the transmission,,,and the cable is free ,

there is nothing in the transmission to make the shifter stick,

if you are parking on a hill side,it may be harder to come out of park,,butmthere is nothing in the transmission to stop it from doing so

thanks
