My ASB light comes on and when it does when I turn it makes

Customer Question

My ASB light comes on and when it does when I turn it makes a can crushing sound and will not turn or back up, it is like it gets stuck/ My husband ran a diagnostic test and he replace the part it said was not working but the problem yet happens. It is like the sound of a garbage disposal if it has metal caught in it.

Hello. Is this problem intermittent? How long has this been happening?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
for almost one year now, as soon as the warranty was up.

What did he replace? a wheel speed sensor?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
a sensor, I am at work now and I would need to ask him in the morning when I get off, but it was some type of sensor
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it does stop the does it again at different times.

Ok. It was a wheel speed, sensor. The problem sounds very much like a bad hub assembly, although a hub is usually more constant. When you talk to him, ask him if he raised the front end of the car and tried shaking the wheel to see if there was any play in the hub.

wheel speed sensor is also called an ABS sensor

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok I will ask

Also ask him to inspect the wiring to the sensor he replaced really well for damage that could possibly be causing your abs to activate.

When I say wiring, I mean the harness, connector for moisture, etc. There were issues for this which called for replacement of the wiring. I am not positive if it was 2013 but it was around there. The new sensor may have come with a long pigtail to address this. When you talk to him, let me know the outcome.

Hello. Wondering what the outcome was?
