There was no lack of power. Until I got home. I turned it off turned back on. It don't wanna hold idle and say po304. 1999 suburban

sorry i missed you ,i was off line.

sese the truck seems to run ok and from the way ou explain,,it sounds as if you may need to remove and clean the egr valve,the valve may not be closing all the way,yhus causing a vaccume leak from the exhaust.remove and clean it with carb cleaner.

i will also give you more tests/checks you can do for this code.
