Hello, my name is***** of right now it sounds like serious engine damage, what happens when you try to start vehicle now? Thanks.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I stated it turns over but won't start

Have you done any testing such as check for spark or fuel? Thanks.

No
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.

This would be the first step. I can not think of much off top of head that would make mechanical noise but cause a ignition or fuel problem but checking spark/fuel is first place to start. A quick test is to see if it runs on starting fluid, if not check spark, if spark is good then check compression. Let me know what tests find and we will go from there or let me know if you have other questions. Thanks.

Do you have the 2.2 or 2.4 engine? .

Vehicle would run without camshaft position sensor, if anything it might be crankshaft position sensor. But crankshaft position sensor would cause no spark so really checking spark and fuel would be best first step. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions. Thanks.
