My 2003 Blazer only blows hot air regardless of front panel

Customer Question

My 2003 Blazer only blows hot air regardless of front panel settings. Suspect blend door actuator is broke or stuck. I need diagrams and some how-to so I can at least get the vent open for now so I will have a/c inside the car. I will replace the actuator if required and I can get parts. Can you assist?
Thanks.

Hello. Welcome to the site. Thanks for coming.

I'm ***** *****. I'm here to provide as much information and insight as I can, to best answer your question.

The procedure required to replace it involves removing the complete dash. You can try and access it through the glove box. Here is the location of the temperature actuator.

Is the actuator item 2?
Is there a way I can get the vent door open to get cold air into the car for now until I can remove the dash? It's 120+ degrees here.
Are there directions on how to remove the dash?
Thanks again.

Item #1 is the actuator.

Removing the dash is very involved.

I can't remember if you can see the actuator with the glove box removed.
