I was trying to replace the hanger bearing on the rear

Customer Question

I was trying to replace the hanger bearing on the rear driveshaft of this AWD equinox. after breaking my puller attemting to remove yoke and bearing, I took the driveshaft to a driveline shop and they could not press the yoke off to get at the hngr bearing. GM has crimped these yokes on the driveshaft in factory from what my research tells me. is there any kit out there that allows removal of the yoke without destroying the entire driveshaft?? Why does GM have to be so mean????

I thought I would ask. I don't know what else to say. Where have you been reading about these crimps?
