I am sorry for the long wait

at idle with the hood open where do you hear this noise from ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ill have to get back to u on that one
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.

if it is from the front of the engine if you remove the engine drive belt will the noise go away at idle ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I cant remove that im nt a mechanic. Its coming from over on that side of car, battery is fine altenator is fine so idk
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.

that is the next step

if the noise is gone with the drive belt off then there is an accessory that the belt is turning making this noise

if its not the alternator then this issue can be the belt tensioner or the harmonic balancer or ac compressor causing this noise

but the bot***** *****ne is you need to see if that noise is gone with the belt off and again if it is the noise is something the belt is turning causing this noise
