I am very sorry for the long wait

did this problem start out of the blue one day ?

is it louder cold or hot ?

what will make the noise better or worse ?

the oil is clean and full ?

I think so. I noticed it when my wife returned from a trip. Same noise hoy or cold. Nothing makes the noise better. It's the same sound on initial start up or after it's ran a while. Yes oil is clean and full. I use mobile one full synthetic.

is it an up higher ticking type noise that will increase as the RPM's increase ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Maybe some. But not in a direct proportion. It really doesn't sound like it tickets much is it sounds like I like knock. I can also hear the noise as I'm driving from inside the truck.

the next step is to remove the valve covers and inspect all the valve springs for any broken and also see if by hand you feel any rockers loose at all
