My husband tried to wire a trailer plug to s 2000 Silverado.

Customer Question

My husband tried to wire a trailer plug to his 2000 Silverado. He hooked the plug wires as the diagram said yellow to yellow, brown to brown, free to green. I think he hooked up a wire to the white wire coming out from under the truck. He doesn't remember what it was hooked too. Up to that point he had tail lights. But if he would turn either blinker on they both would blink. Now he has no lights on the back left side

Hi there, I am Cam. Sorry for the delay in getting to your question. Can I get your name please? When your husband hooked the wires up, did he follow the colours marked on the back of the plug itself then to match them up?
