the trouble is I bought new tires and went to have them rotated. the mechanic told me the suspension was bad. Consumer reports tells me that the suspension is bad on the 2009 and 2010 Traverse. My Traverse still goes down the road straight when I turn loose of the wheel. My mechanic suggested I have the car alignment checked to reduce or eliminate the suspension problem that is causing my tire wear. I think he called it crowning. Can this problem be fixed. The car has 98,000 miles on it. I got 73,000 on the first set of Goodyear tires. This set is Cooper (high grade)

In all my years of being in dealerships and the auto repair business I have never heard the term crowning for tire wear. I have seen feathering, cupping, and other terms. Road crown is a term used when doing alignments, you adjust the alignment to compensate for road crown which can cause the car to drift or pull to one side due to the road crown.
