Hello, my name is Bobby. Thank you for the question. Can you tell me if the noise seems to be any different when the engine is hot or cold?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Maybe a little louder when hotter but not much.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
All temps, oil pressure, are good. Doesn't miss or run rough at all

Thank you. It sounds like you may just need a simple valve adjustment. One of the adjusting nuts may have backed off. You should pull; the valve covers and inspect it. I have also seen many issues with lifter failures and bent push rods on this engine. The only way to know if to pull the covers and visually inspect these items. In some cases it can also be a failing injector.
