Chevrolet S-10: 1994 Chevy S-10 2.2 manual with ACWhenever

Customer Question

1994 Chevy S-10 2.2 manual with AC
Whenever I engage the fan, whether it be ac or heat, there is an awful noise from around the AC compressor. I have replaced the blower motor, with no success. Can this be the clutch for the compressor? It still works fine, blowing cold air.

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I'm here to help get your problem solved. The AC should not come on every time you use heat but nothing else related to heating system would make noise around compressor. I'd start by unplugging electrical connector on compressor. If noise stops you know compressor is the problem. If noise sounds like a sqealing you may just need a new belt. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions, thanks.
