2007 chevrolet express Had oli pressure switch replace oil pressure still dropping when at higher speed

Welcome! My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will do my best to assist you with this problem.Ask me about added features such as phone contact anytime if you wish !

im sorry your having this problem

how low will it drop to when driving ?

can you tell me what size engine is in this van ?

when it drops down do you hear any lifter ticking or engine noise at all ?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no noise 3/4 ton

Nico can you tell me the 8th digit of your vin number ?

how low will it read ?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

vin 1GCGG25V271114015 FROM 60 TO 0 UP AND DOWN

Nico are you able to remove the oil switch and screw in a mechanical oil pressure gauge right into the port the oil switch came out of and drive the van and see if the mechanical oil gauge you added shows for oil pressure ?

we have to right off the bat see if that engine in fact IS or IS NOT actually reading the oil pressure up and down

this can be as simple as an oil gauge problem in the cluster to the engine actually reading that for oil pressure inside of it

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

JUST AT SHOP now will have them do that get back to you

Nico have them connect a mechanical oil gauge to that port and if the oil pressure is within the spec below here.if it is within spec and does not jump around then the dash cluster is more than likely bad

if the mechanical gauge does read low and bounce then there is more than likely an oil pump issue or oil pressure relief issue inside this engine
