Good evening, about 2 yrs ago my 2003 saburban Z71 catalytic converter plugged on the passenger side. After replacing the Y pipe, plugs and wires, the truck ran fine unless its at idle for a long time, then the # XXXXX cylinder misfires. I changed the coil pack and it still is doing it. The truck however, after being shut off, then turned back on, and driven, the light goes off again. Any suggestions?

Changed the converters
New plugs and wires
New coil pack on # X cylinder
fthe check engine light only comes on when the truck is idling for a long time . once the engine has been shut off then turned on again, it goes out untill it in idle position again.like starting it so it can warm up.
for instants, at long stops, like trains, i feather the gas to keep yhe light from comimg on, because that would be a time its goimg to idle for awhile
i had it scanned and all it said was there was a misfire in #6
Okay. You need to run a compression check first to be sure that there is not an internal engine problem there. If this is fine then it may be a leaking intake gasket or a bad fuel injector on that cylinder.
