Chevrolet Malibu Classic LS: I have a 2005 chevy malibu with

I have a 2005 chevy malibu with a 3.5liter engine is there a way to check the transmission fluid I cant find a dipstick there is a plug in the top of the treansmission from what I can see also where is the power steering reservoir?
