Customer Question

88 Corvette automatic
Car will not turn over...battery good no nothing no sound at all...when I attached a jump starter quick start charger on it it did make a clicking noise...
besides the starter which I will have tested tomorrow after I hank it out of the car.

This is my first automatic car in over 50 years so are there any selonoids (besides the one on the starter itself) etc ..That may be a problem...

I purchased this car in Dec of 2010 never drove it at all in 2011 due to some serious health problems so it say until April of 2012 when I Finally drove the car changed oil yada yada yada

hi bob
sense it does click with a jump
the first thing to test is the battery,,i know you say its good,,but double check...the next thing to do,is to check ythe battery cables...make sure they are tight and clean at all 4 points,,the batery, the engine- and the starter+....
yes,the solenoid on the starter is the only one you have.....i dont think anything is wrong with the car itself, sense it does click with a jump..so do what i said above first, then check/replace the starter
thanks
