I have a 2002 corvette convertible and the passenger door will unlock but it will not lock when I push the lock switch. what can the problem be.

This is very likely to be a failed passenger door module.However, it should be diagnosed correctly, and the only way to do that is by use of a quality scan tool. The technician can use the scan tool to test inputs to the module from the switches, and he can also command the PDM to actuate the locks, to see whether the PDM has the ability to do so.Furthermore, if PDM replacement is necessary, it will need to be programmed before it will work on your car. For these reasons, this is a repair that should be referred to your dealer. Unless you have a high end scan tool and programming gear, this is beyond the realm of a DIY type repair.
