Have you checked the oil level and its still too high?

Does the engine still smoke?

Customer replied412 days ago.

the car was missing so bad and smoking they drained out all the oil then put in the correct amout and reset the computer ....yes i have checked several times since then 20 30 min after driving and the level is ok......i just put on new k-n intake and corsa exhaust

no not still smoke ........but smells like burnt oil after drive

OK then the only concern you still have is burnt oil smell. This is going to take awhile to get rid of. If your check engine light is not on then your engine is running normal. The reason it was misfiring was the oil was getting sucked in to the intake and going in to your cylinders. There is most likely still some oil inside the exhaust system and that is why you smell burnt oil. There is not a whole lot you can do short of removing the exhaust system and cleaning it out or replacing it. You may want to try a 100 mile trip on the free way to help burn of the oil.

It would help but do not think you have to do so. It may be a good time to upgrade to higher flow cats.

thanks .........is there any chronic long term things to look for

As long as the check engine light does not come on, then all is well. If the catalytic converters have gone bad, then the check engine light will come on. Just remember to keep all the paper work from this issue from where they put in too much oil. Make sure you have paper work stating this so if there is a issue, you can have them pay for any problems that they have caused. If there is no paper work from then about this, it hard to get them to pay for any problems later as then its your word against theirs.
