Hello, I'm Cam. Please include all the details about your issue so I can accurately advise you. I cannot see your vehicle so please be detailed. Can you try this full relearn and see if this helps? Turn the key on and attempt to start the car, It may crank, it may start and stall or it may do nothing at all, this is fine, still cycle the key to start then release the key back to run. Wait 10 minutes with the key in run. The passlock light should be flashing and the DIC will say "Service Vehicle" or "Security" or have a picture of a car with a lock during that 10 minute span. After 10 minutes has passed, turn off the car, count to 10, and try to start it again and release the key back to run.Wait another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, turn car off 10 seconds and try to start again and release the key to run.Wait another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, turn car off 10 seconds and try to start again. It should start up this time. The passlock has been learned.During this process, turn the fans off, radio off and cycle the headlights off so the battery will not go dead. If needed, use a battery charger. If this does not work, then it is a failed igntion switch The good news is that the swtich is about 40 and this relearn I posted will learn the new switch as well.
`
`THIS DID NOT WORK STILL WONT START
Did you try the ignition switch then?
the ignition switched, then the security light was on all the time, but everything worked.i tried turning the light off by disconnecting battery, doing the 10 min thing 3 times now it wont start
Does the starter even crank then?
no nothing!
Ok, do you have a test light?
no ,but everything was working fine untill i tried to turn off security light,it was like that since last yr when ignition was changed,All i did was disconnect battery reconnect it than did the 10 min thing 3 times to turn off the light, now nothing
Ok, let's try a reset. Take both battery cables off the battery and touch the ends together for 10 seconds. Then attach them to the battery and see what happens. This reeves to reset the models to factor defaults.
tried that still nothing, should i disconnect bat.then reconnect and try the 10 min thing again?
You can try that, but I have a funny feeling it won't work. I suspect that you shall need to have the BCM reprogrammed and that, I am sorry to say is not something you are able to do on your own.
ok thanx for your help:) Steve
Is there anymore I can get for you?
