you will need to remove the radio and check for power between the black/white wire and the red/white wire (terminals 1 and 8 at the back of the radio), if no power is found the the fuse labeled RDO under the hood is good, then you need to replace that red wire back to the fuse block. good luck. and please accept my answer so i get credit. thanks T-MAN

The unit was working fine with an ipod in aux port. Stopped car and restarted with no display on either clock or radio screen. Power wire should be ok you would think will check the radio fuse again but wont accept answer until solution is found.

if the radio is going power and ground on the terminals listed above and it will not turn on nor play any sound, have the radio replaced. thanks

Relist: Incomplete answer. I have a 2007 monte carlo with am/fm cd with onstar. Made a call with onstar phone and had no problems but the call did shut off radio display. The radio came back on in aux status with no problems until the car was shut off and restarted. Then the radio didnt display just like when the onstar phone answered earlier but it hadn't been used again. Could the onstar system be restricting the radio use incorrectly?
