so,the fuel pump does come on?but there is no pressure at the test port. correct?
the fuel pump is bad..it is very common to get a bad new fuel pump for these vortec engines,,sometimes you will go through 2 or 3 before you get a good one,,these must have no less than 60psi at all times..it is a good idea to check the fuel pressure on these after you install the pump in the tank and before you install the fuel tank...there is no reason for the line to be clogged between the fuel filter and the test port

Ok well I will get another pump, however if I drop the tank again and replace the pump again and that does not do it, what other options do I try?
a good pump will fix it..i think you just have a weak one,,again,,very common,,,
