Make sure to check the vacuum lines and hoses for any cracks, holes or disconnections. The EVAP Vent Valve is located under the vehicle, towards the passenger's side rear, near the EVAP Canister.

  • Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle. graphic
  • Disconnect the electrical connector of the EVAP canister vent valve.
  • Disconnect the vent hose from the EVAP canister vent valve (1).
  • Remove the fastener (2) from the EVAP canister vent valve (1).
  • Disconnect the canister hose from the EVAP canister vent valve.
  • Remove the EVAP canister vent valve (1) from the EVAP canister bracket.
