Hi thanks for the question, did you just install the radio or how did this happen?
I just bought it used today.
Thanks for the reply, on your vehicle the radio cannot be unlocked by a code, it has to be setup using a GM scantool, the reason it is locked is the new radio has not been programmed to your vehicle.
Each radio learns the vehicles vin # so the used radio has the vin # of the other vehicle programmed into it, the scantool at the dealer programs your used radio to accept the vin of your car and unlock it. Is there any other questions today? if not I would appreciate clicking accept for my time. Thanks.
you do not understand this is the radio installed at the factory .it has not been changed. but the man i bought the car from said he changed the car battery and
the radio has been locked ever sense then.
I understand it is a factory radio, I misunderstood when you said you bought it used today. If you do not have the unlock code from the person you bought it from, it has to go to the dealer to unlock it.
I fill ripped off .my radio still is not working . i will not leave positive feedback !!!
I realize you may not like the news I gave, how can you fill ripped off if I gave you the answer you need to get your radio unlocked.
there is no way to unlock your radio at home..it must be done by the dealer..this may cost around $70+/-.....again,there is no code that will help you here
