2001 Monte carlo instrument cluster lights will not light up. I've checked fuses, they seem to be ok.

is the radio and the heater control lighting out also?

Yes, you can still see the time but it is very faint.

check the REAR park LMP fuse right IP junction box

 

check that there is power to both sides of this fuse with the key on (using atest light or meter)

don't have a test light but the fuses look ok

your going to need a light or a meter

 

to check for power to both sides of that fuse if it doesnt have power its possibly the park lamp relay

 

if it does have power you need to check for power into the headlight switch on the Brown/White and power out of the Healdight Switch on the Gray with lights on.. (make sure dimmer is turned to full power)

 

if you have power into the headlight Switch on the Brown/White but not coming out on the Gray Replace the Headlight switch

 

you need a test light or meter to do these tests

 

if you can not perform these tests yourself it would run a max of 100 dollars for this type of diagnostic work
