Chevrolet Silverado 1500 where is the crankshaft position

where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 2003 chevy silverado 4wd 4.3 engine and if sensor is bad what does it effect ad can it ffect the oil pressureguage

The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor senses the crank angle (piston position) of each cylinder and converts it into a pulse signal. The PCM receives this signal and then computes the engine speed and controls the fuel injector timing and ignition timing based on this input. It doesnt affect the oil pressure gauge.

If the sensor is bad, it can cause the engine to cut off while driving, and get to the point where it is a no-start condition and wont crank until replaced

it is located just behind the crankshaft pulley:
