Chevrolet Tahoe 4x4 My 1996 5.7 vortec has a #4 cylinder misfire

Resolved Question:

My 1996 5.7 vortec has a #4 cylinder misfire and all banks rich code. Changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, #4 injector, intake manifold gasket. Any suggestions?

YOu have a bad fuel meter assembly thats inside the intake. The way to fix it is to replace it. you would need to remove the upper intake manifold and replace the part. Its referred to by many people as the "spider". Heres a picture of it....

Should I replace it with the SCPI or MFI?

Dont convert it. Just replace it with a new part thats the same as you have but new of course.

I forgot to mention I did not have the miss before the intake gasket replacement but I did remove the spider from the intake during the repair. What's your level of confidence that this is the fix?
