I have a 2000 chevy venture van. the code P0742 Torque converter clutch solenoid circuit stuck on, reads on my van's computer. what should I do ?

Hello and welcome to justanswer.


The problem you are experiencing is either due to a bad tcc solenoid or a stuck valve in the transmission valve body. The transmission side cover will need to be removed and the tcc solenoid replaced. While you have the tcc solenoid out, check the valves in the valve body behind the solenoid for free movement.
