2005 chevy uplander: it wont start..anti theft system..disable

I have a 2005 chevy uplander it works great but now it won't start at all it reads anti theft system then starting disable. What can I do fix it.

do you have another key you could try?


or you could try a relearn on the key


to do this turn the key to crank for 2 seconds then release to the run position and leave it in the run position for 12 minutes...


you can then turn the key back off and then try starting if it does not work repeat 2 more times


if you still have problems you may need to replace the lock cylinder
