Optional Information: Year: 1983 Make: Chevrolet Model: c10 Engine: 250 in-line 6 cyl Already Tried: I replaced the cylinder head but I'm not sure how to adjust the valves
Hello,
From GM service manual:
HYDRAULIC LIFTER ADJUSTMENT
Rotate engine until ignition rotor is at #1
Adjust INTAKE valves 1, 2, and 4 and EXHAUST valves 1, 3, and 5 by:
Backing off rocker arm nut until lash is felt, then tighten nut until all lash is removed, then tighten ONE full turn
Next, rotate motor until ignition rotor is at #6
Adjust INTAKE valves 3, 5, and 6 and EXHAUST valves 2, 4, and 6 using the same procedure above
Thanks, Dave
