do all the gages work properly?fuel.temp.ect..?does the back lighting light behind the other gages?

Yes seems to be just these two places

more than likely what is wrong is the gauge cluster is bad its self.the odometer is internally run by the cluster its self it uses the same power and grounds that it does for all the other gages and indicators.and since they are working fine the cluster needs to be changed.if you get one to put in the new one HAS to be programed with a scan tool.any shop can do this that has programing capability.i wish i had better news for you.

Do you have specific instructions on replacing the cluster?
