2002 astro: wont start..wont fire..yesterday, drove it home..parked

Resolved Question:

2002 astro van wont start. Turns over fine but wont fire. Worked perfectly yesterday, drove it home last night, parked it and now, nothing.

Hi, you may still have a fuel pump that is bad, banging the tank doesn't always get the pump to work. You need to determine if your problem is a loss of fuel or ignition. You can disconnect a spark plug or the coil wire and check for spark, or give a shot of starting fluid into the air intake, if the engine attempts to start and run, if only for a few seconds, you will know you have spark and lack of fuel is your problem. If so,check for power and ground at the pump, if it checks out, replace the fuel pump.
