Drain the tank, place a floor jack under the tank on a piece of wood and loosen the strap bolts enough to lower the tank and disconnect the lines. Then take strap bolts all the way off, swing straps out of the way, lower tank and remove from underneath the vehicle.

To knock the ring off the fuel sender use a brass punch and hammer if the ring is not plastic to prevent a spark.
