thank you for the schematics. ive been trying to go by the service manuals, but i find it a little hard to understand. these schematics look a little bit better to understand.any more information is greatly appreciated.

The 1996 Chevrolet Truck S10 P/U 2WD 2.2L SFI 4cyl Fuel System Pressure is 41-47 PSI .

The 1994 Chevrolet Caprice 5.7L SFI OHV 8cyl Fuel System Pressure is 41-47 PSI .

Thats good, so you can go with that fuel pump.

A 1994 was an OBDI and a 1996 is an OBDII. What are you going to do about the ecm/pcm?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
is there a difference between the ecm and the pcm? i thought that once i wired everything there wouldnt be a problem. i know that wont pass emissions but wont the obd II harness wont work?
ecm and pcm means the same thing. we will both see
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
thats funny! i was wondering what about reflashing the computer? every where i hear about reflashing but i was thninking that the since i did get the the computer off the caprice it shouldnt make a difference, right?

You should be ok, but the ecm or pcm or whatever it is called might have to have a new prom chip. Here is a tsb I found on INFORMATION ON REPROGRAMMING CAPABILITY, click here.

Also, this on FLASH EPROM PROGRAMMING, click here.
