How do I replace the DVD player on my 2003 Chevy Venture

This answer was rated:

How do I replace the DVD player on my 2003 Chevy Venture? I have ordered the identical replacement player, but don't know how access the center console to replace the DVD unit. I don't see any screws on the console, and I am afraid to just force it off. Any advice on how to remove the console fascia would be appreciated.

  • Using a flat-bladed tool, unclip the bezel from the floor console.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ports in the bezel.
  • Remove the floor console bezel cover.

    Remove screws securing dvd player.

Thank you for the fast and detailed response.

The first instruction stated "Using a flat-bladed tool, unclip the bezel from the floor console.".

Does the bezel unclip at the top, the bottom, the sides, or at multiple points? Is there some indicator to tell me where I should insert the flat bladed tool?

    Please advise.
There are 6 retainers on the bezel. Start at the top on either side and work your way to the bottom. Wrap a flat bladed screwdriver tip with some tape to keep from scratching the plastic trim.
