Is it a popping/snapping/rattling type of noise?

Thanks, Carguyjosh

Do you also hear the noise over the slightest little bumps in parking lots?

Yeah I think so...

Okay.

I am sending you a link to the part that you need. Whats going on is that the lower steering shaft is going bad.

Let me first say that there is NO safety problem, it is just annoying. These shafts are rated at 100% failure rate. Meaning that all of the shafts from 01-05 had problems.

The company DORMAN, is making aftermarket replacement shafts that run about $65...

The shaft should be available at your local parts store. You can just write down the part # XXXXX call them with it...

This should take care of your noise....

Please let me know if you have any further questions. I will be out for about a half hour to run my son to a B-day party but will get right back to you..

Thanks, Josh

Thanks...

I'll check with the parts store for the Dorman.
Looks like an expensive repair job tho.

Its not bad. The shaft is about $65 and it tales about 45 minutes to install...

Thanks, Josh
