2004 trailblazer: diagram..clunk spring goes in the trans..bolt

This answer was rated:

2004 trailblazer 4l60E transmission. If you can give me a diagram and tell me where and how exactly the anti-clunk spring goes in the trans. Also if you can give me a diagram for bolt length and bolt location for the valve body. Thanks!

Hello and welcome. here is the valve body bolts and different length locations. what spring are you calling a clunk spring?

graphic

  • Check that all the valve body bolts are in the correct location.
  • Each bolt number refers to a specific bolt size, as indicated by the following list:

    1 -- M6 x 1.0 x 65.0
    2 -- M6 x 1.0 x 54.4
    3 -- M6 x 1.0 x 47.5
    4 -- M6 x 1.0 x 17.7
    5 -- M6 x 1.0 x 35.0

  • Tighten the bolts from the center of the valve body working your way out in a spiral pattern to the outside edge.
  • Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 8-14N·m (6-10 lb ft).
