2006 Chevrolet Cobalt: LT...the timing belt (cam belt)..000 miles

This answer was rated:

Hi. I own a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LT. Does the timing belt (cam belt) need replacing after 60,000 miles? I can't find any information about this in the information provided with car.
the good thing is these engine did not use timing belts..they use timing chains..they never need to be changed at any mileage..of course they would need to be changed if one failed but thats very very rare to fail..i own a 2006 cobalt im just as happy as you we don't have to change a timing belt because they don't have one!
